Ratio setup from analog to digital

Hi guys, my name is Fabiano, I have a volvo penta aqad40b. My question is: i have a digital instrument for analog sensors. When i go to RPM setup, the instrument ask me to set a value ( Ratio Setup). Someone knows what is this value or where i can find it? If i set this value correct i will have the correct rpm on the display. Thanks in advance to all of you! You can answer in Eng, Norsk, Italiano, Espagñol

Ratio:

If picking up from alternator - circumference of crank pulley vs Alternator pulley 2πr : 2πr
If picking up from a geartooth magnetic pickup - number of gear teeth per revolution
