Ratheon Log and Water temperature indicator high reading

The above item indicates speed OK but currently shows water temperature as 42 degrees . this is impossible even in the Med so what do I do . Can it be recalibrated or not .

Water temperature can be calibrated on the ST60 log but I'm not sure about earlier models. If you don't have the manual try downloading it from the Raymarine site:
