Dear YM
I realise you are trying to make the site as interactive as possible and in general this is a good idea and works well with on-line media.
Today's leading story without doubt is the peril of the kidnapped sailors, a truly worrying story and one which all readers will have even a passing concern for their safe return as soon as possible.
Not to be read a whine or a moan, but I noted the 'Rate this' at the bottom of the story. What are we supposed to rate, 'is it exciting enough'?, 'Does the story have a decent believability quotient'?, 'Are the couple worth reading about'?
This doesn't seem to be on other stories, is it new.. surely the 'have your say' should suffice, no?
Sorry if it seems like I am looking for stuff to moan about, I more consider this has been left on as a function and been over looked. What if a story reports a death and someone gives it one star, would we presume the person only rated a single star for their probably sailing life.. just a thought.
