Now I always try to be polite to people, in most cases they are just doing there job!
But just had the most pushy telly sales guy from a company call delli something on the phone, And I had to hang up on him, he would not listen, I have only ever done that twice before [hung up on someone.]

So be warned.!!! need knew my number, name and fact a BT customer.

Be ready for a return call, this is generally what they do if you hang up on them, if it happens ask to speak to his supervisor, this will generally quiet them down and they hang up on you.

Much better to have just quietly put the phone on the desk and gone and got on with your life, whilst thinking about this idiot talking to himself. Come back in ten minutes to see if he is still wittering on! Its their phone bill. /forums/images/icons/smile.gif

I understand that this ony applies to private numbers. So if powerskipper advertises this as her business number to potential employers then it cannot be registered with TPS.
When I was taught telesales it was thought legitimate to talk through a first negative as an instinctive reaction, but to ring off after a second clearly-expressed refusal.
