Just returned from a lovely cruise to Calais, Boulogne and Ramsgate, first time there this season. For my boat, at 9.5m I was charged £29.70. In Boulogne the overnight charge was €19! And the facilities are better and the marina staff considerably better looking and more charming. I know it's not the fault of the blokes in the cabin but Thanet District Council are a bunch of rapacious barstewards. Shame, I rather like Ramsgate as a place but will will definitely avoid it in future. Had a cracking sail back to the Blackwater though, which more or less blew away my sense of indignation at being ripped off.

i havnt been in Ramsgit for some 18 years. very pleased not to have missed the place, Dover is much cheaper on the transeurope deal too

Ramsgate is one of our favourite destinations.

Paying £29.70 for 9.5m.....you're doing it all wrong!

It's 5.9m at the pay station which should get you down to a more reasonable €19!
