OK Dudes. The riverside rally here at Ashmount will be the 11th - 13th of July. Come by boat, car or helicopter. Launching facilities available, free parking, free camping, free moorings, bring your own BBQ stuff and Booze, there are plenty of picnic tables here. Eating out also available in the village pub. As regards accomodation, you can sleep aboard, pitch a tent, bring a caravan or whatever, you can even use a sleeping bag in my barn.
I need numbers, so please Email me to confirm and your arrival dates. byrona@royal.net

2 cans & a bit of string. String can also be used to give Forbsie's boat a tow then. Good thinking............./forums/images/icons/smile.gif

Rally round chaps ......!!!

Well, the response is underwhelming.........super proposal from Chateaux Ashmount and so far only me and forbsie showing any sign of participation......
Wots up wiv you all....is river rallying too soft for you Poole Harbour diehards or Wareham wallies?
I've spent sleepless nights hatching a plan to actually get there wiv me boat this time and its beginning to look like a barby for three (well. four if Forbsie stays off the single malt until he's eaten his steak !)
C'mon chaps....names and numbers please........do it NOW.........

And Adrian who is bringing a Fairline 23. Eileen really needs to know numbers because she intends arranging a little grub.

Re: Rally round chaps ......!!!

I feel presured (by B1!) to make some response to your kind offer Byron.
Unfortunately at this time I cannot see us being able to attend on that date despite convoluted plans involving tents and tenders.
I appreciate that you are looking for definite numbers and therefore have to join the 'no's to the left' on this occassion.
thanks for the offer and I hope you get super weather.

I'm only a possible I'm afraid, as first two weeks of July are already slated for good weather watch for Cherbourg dash.

If weather forecast looking yuck, or already been, would love to come....will be by car with tent....too bleeding difficult to get trailer sorted.

<hr width=100% size=1>Err, let me know if Depsol enters the forum, I'll go and hide

I think it sounds a great idea and would really like to drop by but need to check out work commitments and bits before able to confirm anything.

We had such a good time at your last bash it would be nice to at least try to drop in for a bit - will come back to you asap.

Nick
