I own a 2000 manufactured Corvette 320 which has rainwater ingress in the
port forward cabin. Windows have been checked and are not source of
problem, also we have checked ,hatches, vents and sealed the anchor locker
but there is still dampness at the back lefthand corner of the port bunk.
Has anyone experience of this problem and found a solution? I would welcome
any comments.

leak at pt bunk

Hi,

We have a 1992 Corvette and had the same problem. It turned out to be seawater comming in via the capping rail. With a good seal of the wood then end of problem.

Best wishes,

Paul

Rainwater Ingress Corvette 320

Hi Paul
Thank you most sincerely for your helpful suggestion regarding the above.
Our problem is definitely rain water but it could well be coming from the
Capping or gunnel. Ours is a black plastic material so we will seal it with silicon and hopefully that will do the trick.
Will keep you posted re the result.
Many thanks again for your useful response.
