Rain today...

since I live in Wapping I'm at risk of flooding with all this rain. I thought I'd better get the boat ready just incase.

Actually, it makes quite a comfortable place to rest. I'm typing this while sat in it.

Anybody got any tips for deflating the things?

Seriously, hope you are dry in Wapping. Worth getting an LVM inflator/deflator for the dinghy, makes quick work of both. Most swindleries for about £70.

If you inflate it indoors it's quite a good idea to be able to deflate it quickly. I know an RNLI guy who accidentally inflated a dinghy in his hallway and was stuck for several hours before he was rescued!

I managed to pack it all up in its bag. It's quite a bit bigger than I thought actually. it's going to be perfect for messing around on Derwentwater at the bank holiday but as far as a tender goes it might be a tad on the large side. We'll see. It might squeeze down one of the quarter berths.

p.s. Wapping didn't flood but it is still raining. I've just seen a bearded chap escorting a convoy of animal pairs with lifejackets on. Not sure what that was about!? /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
