I antifouled 2 weeks ago using flag antifouling on top of flag primer (I had previously stripped down to the gelcoat).

When I visited yesterday it looked a real mess with rain streaks showing light blue against the Navy original. The streaks do not disappear when wiped down.

Is this anything to worry about? I've just returned to sailing after a number of years away and do not remember this happening in the past.

Thanks for any advice.

Uniform? Thats sort of beige isnt it?

What he wants is blue. I guess he should be asking for a Navy Uniform then.

The antifoul will normalise to the correct colour in the water as stated.

yup mines done this in the past. Dont worry about it, it will sort itself out in the water as soon as it goes in.

In the mean time dont think the fish are going to be too worried about the colour scheme. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Dont worry TCM Ive had it professionally destreaked by the local yard who luckilly have state of the art thermo electric destreaking pads. Only charged me £5k but at least now I can relax /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

Vega's looking good. Have you painted the topsides?

thanks for that. Yes ive painted them again. Lots of fender and pontoon scuffs and scrubbing some weed above the waterline had rubbed some off .Quicker and easier to rub down and repaint than try to touch up.

Once you have taken the plunge and painted over the original gelcoat you can be much more relaxed about small scrapes and scratches.

And gives me an excuse to put a pic of her on the forum /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

PS impressive photo of Silkie on the calendar page.
