Eh?
We've got 1.5m of water under the keel, a F4 offshore which equates to a short chop at worst and a rising tide.... what do we need towing off?
Anyway - the implication (from MBY) is that a mobo wouldn't be there anyway as it is too shallow! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
I think you'll find most of the posts reflect amazment that a bit of chop created by a force 4 should give anyone any cause for concern whatsoever! Fantastic carry on!
Have to date pulled 4 raggy boats off sand banks/mud flats and all raggy skippers said thay THOUGHT they had enough water under the keel.
Do agree that raggies are in general the more knowledgeable and experienced but you do have your fair share of plonkers if not downright incompetent skippers same as Mobo's.
It's a trick question. The obvious answer is give it some berries and zoom in with your triple Arneson surface drives kicking up the mother of all rooster tails. If you've got your wits about you, one of the bikini-clad babes could be handed the camera to film the wakeshot. (If you happen to have Lakesailor on board he could photograph the bikini-clad babe filming the wakeshot).
BUT what the question doesn't say is that round the corner the HM is lurking with his speed gun and all of a sudden it turns into a scene from The Sweeney with lots of shouting: "Nick 'im, George" etc

Is that 4 this year or since you've started boating?
I'd pull someone off a sandbank ... but generally I'd be getting myself stuck if I tried /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif However, I have "rescued" plenty of others - although the only "rescue" in our boat was 4 swimmers who decided to walk out along the sandbanks towards Chi Bar Beacon at low tide .... only to find the tide rising rather more quickly than they expected! /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif They were very grateful of the use our stern ladder! The rest have all been whilst "on Duty" in the club rib .... and too numerous to count...
