Radio Nav Interface ZO75 .... to Autohelm AH1000 + Lowrance plotter

So I have finally got hold of the obselete ZO75 RNI to connect my plotter to my old model AH1000 .....

My plotter is a lowrance and feeds out NMEA 0183 Vers 2 .... and this is where I think I have a problem.

The RNI ZO75 .... possibly doesn't understand vers 2 ?

Has anyone out there have one of these RNI's connected up and working and with what combo of gear ? Is vers 2 a problem ?

I will try and feed from a PC later to see if a different NMEA vers does work ...

Any hints / tips / answers appreciated ...

Depending on the age of Z075 it may only understand 0180 and not even 0183.

The book with it says 0183 ...... but not what version.

Pictures / description etc. in side book matches item ....

You probably already thought of this but just in case...

You don't say which Lowrance you have. I know a lot of their kit allows you to select either 1.5 or 2.0 for the 0183 o/p.
