I recieved my lifetime licence in march through post, but have never registered it, but now need to have it updated to include portable and dsc.
I find the offcom site so confusing and dissorganised, that I cant find a page where to register and get a user identity and password.
Can anyone give some simple guidance please.

I thought I had done well to get everything sorted on the site. Then I went to the PDF file to download my licence, only to find it was blank. I followed the help files and still no joy. The licence details also lost the call sign. I then rang the helpline and a nice guy told me I had done quite well and he emailed the file to me. He seemed fed up with the problems.

This link

will take you to the page on the Ofcom site ahead of the page that Brendan has given.

It'll give you access to all the guidance notes that you might want to read (Make sure you read the one about downloading and printing the licence if you are using Internet Explorer 7)

Once you have registered, got your user ID, remembered your password and logged on adding new gear or making other changes seems simple enough even if a bit long winded (you have to work your way through the whole thing as far as I can see)

"Changing a password" does not seem to be available and I have fallen foul of the change of address function.

how do we tell them ? Or is that just a waste of time?

[/ QUOTE ] You email them to tell them. I did, but I don't know how many of the other forumites who regularly complain have done the same.
Yes it's a waste of time. I got an acknowledgement but that is all.
To be pedantic about it there is nothing wrong with the website. What is c**p is the program Ofcom have bought in to do the licences. Trouble is I guess they've bought it and are now lumbered with it.
