We have a Koden radar, made in Japan, on our Orkney day angler 21.
But, after about 5 minutes use, a message meaning the motor has stopped
turning appears. We think it may be due to slamming the boat, but this really shouldn't affect it.
Took off the radome but there is nothing stopping it turning.
Suggestions???

Try checking the voltage as I had this problem on a Raytheon when the voltage dropped too low, the scrren still worked but the scanner didn't respond.

That will be tried, thanks.
It'll have to wait untill we can get it into a marina,
it is on a deep water mooring at the mo, and working on it is very hard.

Thanks for the tip.

If toads advice doesn't help you could try Marconi Marine T 01245 353221 who imported Koden equipment who may be able to help but be aware that they are aimed at the Commercial Market....

Yes, so it seems.
Thanks for the number, it could well be needed. We live in jersey
but can't find an importer (??) cause the previous owner had it installed.

Cheers all.
