Radar not woking

I have a C120 raymarine plotter and radar. Plotter is working well but radar gives an error after its initial 60/70 second warm up period. Error message SCN INCOMPATABLE, scanner fault-scanner HW. Is anyone able to diagnose the problem and give an answer?

Have you replaced the Radome? If so check the serial No.

I had the same problem when I replaced a faulty one with an Ebay purchase and got caught out with the age of the unit.

0530158 and above - Fully compatible

0530247 and above - Fully compatible

In the end I purchased a new Digital Radome so compatible with the older Classic MFD and the latest ones should I upgrade later.

As far as I am aware digital raydomes aren't compatible with the 'classic' C Series plotters. (My pathfinder died some time back and the replacement radome required a new plotter)

I think you are correct - my unit is a E120 so has the Ethernet port.
