Racor drop in cartridges

I would be interested to know how many hours, litres or gallons you find your cartridges last? I use the 10 micron cartridges and the diesel is good and clean. It is a 110 HP turbo engine.

I forgot to record the hours when I last changed the cartridge, but it has obvioulsy just come to the end of its life. I find pretty suddenly the engine will not rev. above about 1,500 rpm, a sure sign the cartridge needs changing and confirmed by the pressure gauge on the Racor. There is very little contamination in the bowl.

I really must fit a dual Racor as of course the cartridge usually needs changing at the worst time!

Hi matey, we have dual Racor 75-500ès and change the operative filter at the beginning of the season and switch to the alternate filter for the upcoming season. Never had a problem with engine low revs. We always use a Zero tolerance filter whenever we refuel. Surprising how much water this collects. Biobor is also added @ .2% concentration and 1 liter of 2 cycle oil for every 500 liters. Engine is Volvo 80 HP TDM 22... turbocharged. Good luck from NZ
