My home overlooks many of the boats at our marina that have either been lifted out or come in to the sheltered dock for the winter. Many of the masts tops are at or just below our living room window.
Yesterday I was kept amused by the antics of a large Blackbird. It was routinely attacking any boat with a gently spinning MHU wind cup or a wind indicator. It was quite adept at sitting on the cross bar of a wind indicator, forward MHU extension or even trying to perch using the VHF.
Given the severity of attack I would suspect that quite a few owners will find that their VHF or wind instrument will probably be US or need some attention the next time they use it.
It is definitely racist as it never attacked a Nasa style white MHU!
