Hi, I have a Hunter Formula One which I will be racing our of Sunderland this Summer.
I'm a safety conscious and experienced sailor (grew up sailing) but I'm fairly new racing. My plan this year is to learn and improve racecraft.
Sailing programme:
Weekly Wednesday evening club races from Sunderland yacht club. The club is friendly and there's an opportunity to socialise and grab a bite to eat in the bar afterwards.
I am also signed up to NECRA (North East Cruiser Racing Association) and hope to take part in some of their events further afield in the North East and Yorkshire this summer.
My boat is in good order, well maintained and with all necessary safety equipment. I also have up to date serviced life jackets available for crew should you not have your own.
All boat costs are covered by me, all you need to do is arrive and sail. Should you wish to become a regular crew member there would be a requirement to join Sunderland Yacht Club (a discounted rate is available for new crew members).
All levels of experience are welcome, most important is availability and commitment, the rest can be learned.
