Took my boat back to the R.Ancholme today for lift-out.Left Keadby and went down the Trent to the Humber. What a cracking day, sunshine and lovely colourful autumn scenery all the way.Was surprised how clean the R.Humber was as its usually like cocoa.Went down nearly to the Bridge then cut across to the south bank.Altho. Reeds Island has almost disappeared there is a long spit of "land" just under the water stretching towards the bridge.Birds were walking on this about an hour after high water. It certainly needs some respect.
