quite fancy an old speedboat, & I found this, what a great ad

Speed, bonny boat, like a bird on the wing....

What an excellent set of pre-sale conditions in the advert :)

The boat is over priced, the engine is OLD and worth about £500 ish. The boat without an engine even with a good trailer at the top of the market is probably worth about £1500...

+1 indeed, and the little Fletcher doesn't look shabby, either.
If it weren't that around Lake Como boat ramps are as rare as hen's teeth, I'd be tempted to buy her.
At that price, I wouldn't regret not being able to use her a lot, as I did with my last lake toy...

Well, I'm not up to speed on the current market values, and you might well be right.
But I hope not: if you'd offer me something like that at £2k, I might be tempted to buy her without even telling swmbo.
And I fear that might jeopardize my chances to get a decent meal for some time.... :D

He's obviously had a hard time - but I suspect some of that is his own making i.e. people ringing up asking for a lower price, because at that price they just aren't going to bother travelling to see it - I wouldn't pay 4K for that, and I suspect not many will - so all the "time wasters" he's had are probably serious buyers, looking to pay sensible money for it.....

It's OK but I prefer this

OK it's not for sale but loved it when I saw it out on the Trent the other weekend.
Style!
