Finally made the move from Brighton to Chi that I've been thinking of doing for ages, at the weekend.

I was busy checking xcweather all week and it looked like it was going to be nice and calm on Sunday so got a couple of mates together and off we went.

Filled up on the red stuff at Brighton - £140 to fill the tank - then we set off. As soon as we left the Marina, it was choppy and I thought I'd give it half an hour, see how it went and would turn back if it was too much.

We continued and it was only really once we had gone round Selsey point that the sea was a problem. The chop had turned into large waves and we were having huge amounts of water thrown over us on a regular basis for about 20 minutes!

Past Wittering and up the channel. Do the little sailboats always zoom around cutting people up like that? It was carnage! Boats everywhere going in completely random directions!

Made the lock just before free flow ended and 3 very wet seadogs locked the boat up.

Great fun!! First impression of Chi are good - decent facilities, good parking, nice berth etc. Can't wait to get down there again and go shark hunting!!

Yes they do in Chi Harb entrance - that is normal, what is wrong with ignoring everyone else to ensure you catch the breeze. All good experience though eh :)

Welcome to Chichester! At least now you can still get out on your boat when the sea is too rough! You do have to put up with the racing boats though! ;)

Yes those racing boats. Close to the Premier Marina trying to get into the channel and avoid all of them "Thank you very much for stealing my wind" I got back with 400hp on tap not sure I needed it, but I could have run him down, how much for his wind then.
