Quicksilver “The Boy” found off IOW

Been on an adventure all by itself. Perhaps not been used much and was bored.

Lucky weather was calm or you’d be taking it home in a skip :)
 
Caulkheads are famed for scavenging.

I remember when shanklin pier was wiped out in the 87’ storm.

I went home with my own body weight in coins....was only 10 though :)

Seems like the grockels are now following suit with boats! :D:D

Yeah, but I'm not a caulkhead, I'm an overner.
 
Only just.....still close to a grock.....and you live in Cowes which compounds the issue. Don’t go near Pan Estate whatever you do :D:D:D

Just use the term nipper a lot when talking to your child, complain about the council, St Mary’s, chain ferry, Wightlink, and Red Funnel. You’ll pass as a caulkhead in no time!

I'm Southampton born and bred, Nipper quite common there too.

Renting in Cowes, trying to buy a place in Colwell.

Cowes medical centre and St Mary's have been amazing for us, our son, Piglet Man, 2 1/2, was poorly, high temp nudging 40 degrees, so we called the NHS line, 8pm, they had us into a walk in centre as quick as we could get there, Dr's, xrays, all done right away, suspected pneumonia, antibiotics. You really could not ask for a better service. I'm sure there's other areas of healthcare that could be improved.

Council seems ok so far, no worse than our old borough council.

Chain ferry....just don't....

On Isle of Man, have you met Felix and Wanda McHenry?

Can’t say I’ve met the McHenry’s

Working in health, great to hear that. People only talk about the things that don’t go quite as well or as fast as they would like. In truth, I think we all do amazingly in challenging times.....certainly try to.

Colwell is lovely. Watching the waves come in at Freshwater is a great childhood memory. The odd rave at golden hill fort was a must in the 90’s :D

IOM is way worse for branding non Manx. I’ve been told more times than I can remember.......if you don’t like it...there’s a boat in the morning. I only asked for brown sugar! That said.....I wouldnt trade island life for anything else.

What about my old mate Paul Quillan, good Manx name apparently. He moved back to the IOM in around 1998 after quite some time in Argyle.
