Quick response on fortress anchor needed..am on Ebay!!

Hi guys...and gals!! ...what a sad life....her indoors has gorn orf hiking with mates from school for the week-end and I'm thinking about anchoring (ANCHORING!!! /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif) again! We've got a 35 footer so according to the blurb an FX-16 should be right but should I "Go Large" and get the FX-23? I want it as a second / kedge anchor so hope the 16 will do so that we can use it from the dinghy.Anyone not out enjoying life tonight with an opinion?

Stay small!

I use an FX16 as a kedge on my 40 footer. If it sets It stays in and can be a job to break out. I also use it as the main anchor in soft mud.

Thanks guys... took the FX-16 option in the end having read back through responses in my previous question and got it for £72 ...should cost about £120 inc postage and taxes so decent saving on UK prices.
Definitely looking forward to a sail oop North sometime next year by the way but am hoping to find the Isle of Man first!
