My Beneteau Oceanis fresh water leak wasn't a split in one of the pipes from the pressure pump to the galley sink.
It was the pressure relief valve on the calorifier that was stuck open. The lever had hone back down, looking as though the valve had closed, but the plunger was stuck open.
It looked as though it was coming from the pipes as the water was running out of the stringers, but it was that way because the overflow pipe from the pressure relief valve was lying along the internal side of the cockpit locker, and the water was running into the boat from there.
A new pressure relief valve solved the problem. Maybe the old one could have been soaked in limescale remover, but for the £23 it cost, and the work to get it off and then replace it and find it was still leaking, it seemed hardly worth the bother.
This leak took some finding! and there's nothing in the calorifier instructions, or in any of my boat maintenance books, that says that this is something to check. However I'm told that it is a relatively common problem, hence this posting, which hopefully will help someone else.
