I want to clean and antifoul this year, but quickly, ie I dont want to pay for yard storage. Where (and how much) can I get a lift, short store (2 days) and put back in for a 1.8m draught boat? Sorry, Solent'ish area.

If you want out for 2 days, you might well have to pay for your boat to be shored up. Worth asking if you can get taken out Friday last thing and put back Monday first, some yards might oblige as they don't usually work weekends (Yacht Haven (Cowes) might oblige and I find there prices reasonable)

HYS just sent through some offers via email, 2 weeks storgae for free when lifted out, £100 off any product or service if orderd at Soton boat show. (Not sure what if any small print is around this)

If you just want a "traditional" lift and hold any marine should help, and with your draft you will be able to get to all of them.

You could try the sea lift in Cowes. I have used them and they are very accomadating. I have heard if you ask nicely they will leave you out over night.

Alternativly a drying berth!

Have fun!

Had a lift and 2 days in the yard at Kingston Marine earlier this year, very helpful and careful staff, couldn't have been better for the reasonable price

Sealift2 at Cowes are your people. They are geared up to do just what you are asking for. we used them at the start of the season for a lift and antifoul, we supplied the paint and they applied it as part of the price. we were lifted mid afternoon and dropped back in just after 10:00 the following day, they couldn't have been more helpful.
The only thing you need to know is that they are not connected to shore so unless you have everything you need (they have toilets on the platform) you will need to take a dinghy although they did offer us the loan of one if we wanted it.

They have a deal on for a lift and antifoul followed by two further lifts and scrubs within 12 months. It works out that the second lift and scrub is for free, I worked out that the whole package still cost less than a lift, shore up and launch at our home marina and the added advantage that on Sealift2 there are no padmarks that you can't antifoul unlike when shored up.

Nothing to do with them, just a very happy customer who will be using them again.

Sealift2 look like a great deal - they are of course competing with the scrubbing grid approach but much more convenient. I will remember them next season.

For a couple of days ashore Gosport Boatyard offer a weekend deal - lift scrub and the weekend ashore with I think works out in the £200-300 range for a 32' boat (still not cheap) other yards have a similar sort of rate.
