When using a dry stacking facility does anyone have any problems with boats being dripped on from other boats above them. Or is there a way around this? (apart from being the top of the stack!!!)

Not really sure I understand the question. You'll get dripped on by the sky (rain) no matter where in the stack you are, and no different to being on an open hard standing

Think he's probably refering to stacking under cover which will be available soon in Plymouth.

However pretty sure that all boats are hosed off before being trundled indoors so shouldn't be too much of a problem. If worried just put a cover on.

My boat is on the bottom of the stack indoors, it gets some drips from above, but the boats are pressure washed before stacking so never found it an issue.

Thanks andrewa - that's the sort of story I wanted to hear and not horror stories of various leaks from systems on the boats above dripping on to the ones below.

My reason for asking was because we intend to get some new covers made and there is no point if they are going to get covered in drips from oil, fuel etc.

I have dry stacked outdoors on both the top and bottom shelf. Hated being on top as covers got covered with seagull deposits- horrendous. Nice clean tonneau now that I am on the bottom rung.
