Hello everyone,
A Volvo Penta 2001, from 1990, experienced a diesel engine runaway. Fortunately, we managed to shut it down, and the engine has been running normally since then, accumulating a total of 15–20 hours of operation.
Here's what has been done since the runaway incident:

Here's what has been done since the runaway incident:
- The engine oil, which had diesel contamination, has been changed.
- The new engine oil has remained clean since the change.
- The exhaust elbow and associated pipes were cleaned after the runaway; they were not blocked.
- The air intake filter and silencer have also been cleaned.
- Does the Volvo Penta 2001 have a breather pipe?
- Does anyone have an exploded view diagram or picture that shows this part?
