Was good to see you here.
Bookings being taken for the concrete lighter....limited weekends available until the end of the season.
Or welcome to pick up a mooring bouy.

Wonderful news to have a service

The last time we were there, my outboard packed up on the way back from the Dutchman... Four people in a small tender
both the women sitting of the middle seat, to they had to do the rowing!!
Unfortunately they were a bit "relaxed" aft a lovely supper and mum was not rowing as strong as First Officer...so we started going round in circles....and the tide was fair ripping
It was a case of voice command...
BOTH ROW
MUM ROW

MUM ROW....

Yes - a reliable trot boat, the foundation of a harbour such as Queenborough, now exists here.

Long may it continue!

Phil - can you please clarify whether the buoys on the marsh side of the Swale, on the opposite side from the ATL, are usable by visitors? I've always used the ones on the Sheppey side but quite fancy being a bit closer to the marshes next time I'm there but don't want to pinch someone's mooring. Thanks.

Hi Austerby....There are 6 available bouys on the marsh side for you to pick up at the moment.Although the channel side trot is now full with mooring holders,a couple are away on holiday at the moment. You are more than welcome to pick up a bouy on the inside(nearest the marsh).Depth at LW is approx 3m.
Hope this helps!

Clipper Venture 013.jpg

Clipper Venture Around the World.....Rafted up Sunday evening at Queenborough. We accommodated all 12 vessels before they sailed on Monday morning to begin their race from Southend for their year long adventure

I too was at Queenborough on Saturday. 1st time for many years. Called "Sheppey 1" on the VHF and was found a mooring buoy straight away. The trot boat service is great and surprisingly free (West Mersea please note).

We went ashore, sampled some liquid refreshment, and then got some fresh sardines, smoked sprats & prawns.

All excellent.

Next time we plan to visit the yacht club.

All in all a pleasant experience.

Many thanks to all involved for restoring Queenboroughs visitor facilities.

Many thanks Sir for your positive comments.

It was good to see you back at Queenborough and we look forward to welcoming you back in the future

Cheers
Phil
