Queenborough Harbour Webcams

For anyone interested we have installed harbour webcams on the new pontoon looking over the harbour. Webcams are updated every 5 minutes,can be viewed here and are courtesy of IOSSC

I'm so coming down this weekend to do a 'YMCA' style webcam bombing thing.....I think that's what the kids call it.....!

Crane barge has now gone so plenty of walk ashore moorings available.

Internet is down at moment so the cam not updating...should be sorted tomorrow

Great webcam.

I can even see little Gitane parked along side the ATL ready for the ybw forum trip to london next week. Weather looking good for it atm according to windguru.

Ps, Gitane is the scruffy little boat at the back, not the slick lean meaning looking sailing machine in front of it!!

It is interesting that at present the view to the North is in colour but the other way has become black & white, is this deliberate to cope with the fading light or is it a fault?

I believe it might indeed be fading light. Both cameras were in colour a few hours ago.

That's correct...due to the fading light it will go black and white although the camera facing north is clearer after dark due to the sunset light beaming across the harbour

Something slightly strange has happened to the clock on the QB1 camera, the latest image shows the correct date but a time of 17-22!! The previous image is 09-10. The other camera has normal dates and times, it is obviously a beautiful morning in Queenborough.

I checked with queenborough last Saturday morning before sailing down from Bradwell. It's first come first served. However I got to QB at about 1800 and they gave me a choice of two options on the ATL and they seem happy to raft up if required, so you might be OK.

Sinbad, Gitane is correct, first come first served on the ATL and Pontoon. Sunday's are usually a bit quieter so you should be fine

I do like this webcam - you can see different boats. Nice Maurice Griffiths type on the inside at the moment.
