Its been a long time that the dog and I have had a boat guest (stop sniggering... its a bloke) and I am left with a dilemma.
The weekend is promising a decent breeze for a jaunt off the mooring down the Kyle (either) so I have to choose between communing with nature in an isolated anchorage in the welcoming dim of the oil lamps ... or going for the flesh-pots.
I am used to a read, meal off the barbecue and early to bed with a dram. But my companion is a young thing... he can still remember his fiftieth.
I suspect the bright lights and bon viveur of Sandbank or even Rothesay might have an irresistable alure for a well travelled sophisticate.
I don't want to commit a social faux pas, let alone prompt a mutiny.
What is my best course?
