I can get qtVlm and saildocs GRIB files free or I can spend money on Predictwind. They both seem very similar. How do they compare?

For my kind of sailing, E Channel, Biscay, Med, I have never made a passage > 3 days so have never seen weather routeing as necessary. I use an iPad for navigation. For Weather software, I use, variously, XyGrib, Ventusky, pocketGrin, Weathertrack. All are free. I have no need for PW. I do not like their hard sell. I do not like their misleading statements. They are linked with Spire who, again, make incorrect statements. In a Utube video hosted by PW, Spire make several statements that are untrue and several more that are extremely economical with the truth. PW does some good things. I just wish that they would0 not demean themselves.

As an afterthought, qtVlm can be used to view OpenSkiron and openGrib on Windows, Mac(OSX), Android and ios.
