qtVlm - any experience on RPi?

I have been using OpenCPN on Openplotter on an RPi3 for the last couple of years but, because I could only use CM93 charts, I have the VMH charts on OpenCPN on my laptop for more up to date work.

VMH have now pointed out that they support charts for qtVlm on the RPi - which would reduce power consumption considerably. Has anyone any experience of using them this way?

Particularly interested in whether Openplotter can be utilised as the data handler for NMEA etc.

No I Didn't. Do they work on RPi? I know this is Linux but sometimes there are differences

Work fine on a Pi. Price covers a years worth of updates, they still work after the year is up, just no updates.

There was a thread with some people not happy cos the likes of navionics has more data, but that looks like crowd sourced data, these are official hydrographic office charts.
