Hi,

I am new to the site but would be grateful for any help. I have a qsm11 670 HO fited in my 38ft and I have been told that I can convert her to commercial without affecting anything - warranty etc... I was thinking of converting her to a potter/netting?

any help would be appreciated.

QSM 11 670 HO is an engine I believe (just looked it up). You could try the Motor Boat forum. Otherwise try asking the people where you currently have your warranty.

You have been incorrectly informed.

CPL 8753 QSM11 670 is a recreational only i.e up to 500 hrs/year rating

There IS a commercial de-rate of CPL 8753 which is QSM11 610 which is up to 1,500 hrs/year.

Not quite sure why one would want to pay for software de-rate...then swap Cummins Recreational warranty two years up to maximum 1,000 hrs whereas Commercial warranty is one year and 1,500 hrs.

I struggle with rationale..
