The connection to our QL Water Heater (20lit) started to leak. The leak in between the Whale Tank Connector and the Whale Elbow. Having taken it apart the gripper lugs inside the Tank Connector have failed, perhaps due to heat. We're in Greece (on Skopolos Island) so sprare parts aren't easy to come by.
As a temporary measure I've used plastic hose connection ( see photo ) to remake the connection.
1. Is my temporary connection likely to last for 7 weeks until we come home and can source the correct fitting? If not any suggestions as to regular plumbing fittings I can use instead?
2. The Tank Fitting looks like a 3/4" thread & the Whale Fittings are 15mm. Can anyone identify the the fittings i need?
Thanks,
John
