Can anyone confirm this one for me. I have a Raytheon autohelm with a RC630 chartplotter, however, the plotter stopped connecting to the gps antenna, I replaced the antenna but no difference, I had a look inside and one of the resistors looks fryed on the antenna lines on the pcb. Question is: if I purchase a multiplexer/ converter like the one in the heading do you think I could get my gps antenna data through seatalk, it says in the product description that it would but before I go chucking money around I thought I'd swing in pass you clever people. Did you replace the GPS antenna with a new one of the same type? If so, which? If not, which?

I'm not sure that you need an AIS receiver, as the RC630 won't display AIS data.

I’ve just bought a A026. I know that the GPS data is definitely transmitted though the NMEA out as I’m going to rig up to my VHF DSC.
when I had a question about Baud rates I contacted Quark and they were super helpful. I’m really impressed how easy the A026 is to set up.

Brilliant, thanks for that info. So if I was to get the A026 or even a lower model I could be quid in! I was looking at quark as well so I think this I've made up my mine.

Have a great weekend and thanks again.

Just check what the NMEA in on the RC620 recognises. I’m not familiar with that plotter (and still learning) if it recognises an older signal you might need the converter. Like I said have a chat with Quark they are really helpful. I bought mine from Hamble Marine through eBay and they were helpful as well.
Having your instrument data though WiFi to an iPad is like witchcraft ?

Hi there,

I have a Raytheon dGPS on my roof and I purchased a cheap replacement from GPS-galore.co.uk that was correct for my chartplotter, my chartplotter always says "no gps" even when changing the settings that I believe you directed me to do in an earlier post and that's with both antennas. If I connect the new antenna via nmea I get the plotter to "acquiring satellites" but it never actually finds any! So my second thought was to find out if I can connect via seatalk instead!

Thanks for all you input. After going round and round in circles for days on end it just started working with the new antenna. I'm so happy to be able to put everything back together. Hooray!
