The temporary web page for QHM now has downloadable pdfs for NMs and Nav warnings but they require a usename and password (how daft is that) However my username and password wont work!

Anybody else finding the same.

seems a retrograde step. The notices for mariners have been up on the temp page for a while, but without any login required. They seem to have changed something recently. Not very inspiring really

Daft, or sinister? Or maybe just the beaurocratic mind at work.

[/ QUOTE ] No just a cock-up I reckon. Sometime today they have altered it so that it no longer requires a log-in.

PS it has tripped me up before but the word is bureaucratic; as in bureau, meaning a writing desk. 3 cheers for the Google toolbar spell checker /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

You won't be asked for a username and password, that was a glitch with the development site which was fixed very quickly.

LNTM, Movements and Nav Warnings can be viewed without having to use any username or password. There will also be the opportunity to view LNTM and Nav Warnings via RSS feeds also, useful for mobile phone users plus the e-mail mailing lists will also continue as normal.

The new site is being quickly populated with useful information and should be available very soon.

Yes, I noticed it late last night! Easier to find the details of the small boat channel now but a pity I feel that, some sort of pictorial representation has not been included. It would be worth a thousand words IMHO.

he was found not guilty on all charges. He was never sacked, but was removed from post while court case on, and didn't return to post as it had already been filled. He is still on naval staff as far as I know

wot was the outcome of the sacked (previous) QHM

[/ QUOTE ] Are you and Brendan talking about Commander Herman, who got caught with dodgy images on his computer. If so yes he had a plausible defence and was found not guilty. That was several years ago.

However we seem to have yet another new man in charge. Commander Steve Hopper

What happened to the guy who was there a few weeks ago? Have I missed something?

Has retired from the RN and is on his way to start a new life in Oz.

The new chap is a very nice man as well - met him recently at a VHP do.
