QE2 and QM2 - 1st May

Last night I was told by a friend that the QE2 and QM2 will be sailing into Southampton together on Saturday 1st May - which is a bank holiday weekend. I don't know any more details, although I understand they are available.

Depending on your POV, it could be a great day to be in the Solent, although my preference is to be somewhere else completely different - hopefully across the channel.

We want to be across channel too but Saturday May 1st is a holiday and the hypermarkets in Cherbourg are closed! Most inconsiderate of the French IMO.
