PVC tender - Paint / decal whatever for name

For insurance purposes I have to put a tender to name on my PVC dink. As these things have become extraordinarily expensive I dont want to suffer a total loss for want of a name.
What is a good way of affixing a name without it quickly fading or peeling off.

PVC tubes on a GRP hull. Bow (grp part) is well clear of water but lettering may not be easily visible if I go the decal route. Would that matter?
