Happy Easter fellow boat nerds or should that be anoraks,
Does anyone have experience of re-gluing the transom hull join on a Wetline 265 or similar mini RIB. The dinghy has been out in the sun of Greece for eight years and all those bits that are supposed to suffer from UV problems are fine; it is the glues between the solid bits and the flexing bits that are coming apart. I've tried the glue that came with the dinghy when new but it doesn't hold well (yes I prepared the surfaces very carefully). I have used thick black Sicaflex in the past (when holding dinghy repair sessions as a flotilla skipper with Sunsail) and yes it's true it does stick anything, your fingers, the quayside and the dinghy but is there anything inbetween industrial and airfix glue. All help advice and guidance gratefully received.
Regards
John and Elsa
