Could anybody explain the simplest way to attach photos to the forum please
putting pictures on the forum

I do not know if this is the simplest but this what I do:
Upload pics to www.Photobucket.com. (it is worth reducing the print and file size first)
Copy img link from your uploaded pics in photobucket to your post.
Will be interesting to see if there is a better way! (as I am sure we will soon find out!)

Open an account with a free image hoster such as Photobucket - www.photobucket.com
Upload the images you want to display on the forum to your photobucket account from your PC - this is easy to do, just follow the on screen instructions.
Once your images have been uploaded you will see four bits of information below each image. Highlight the section that is titled 'Direct Link' (ringed in red), right mouse click and select copy.
Now compose your post as usual. When you want to include the image, select the 'Image' button in the 'Instant Mark-up' section of the compose screen (shown below, ringed in red).
A box will appear and all you need to do is past the link you copied from photobucket into the box. Make sure that there is only one http://. Best way is highlight the box and press delete before pasting your link. See images below.
The box appears, notice the http:// is highlighted
Delete this text so the box is blank (press backspace or
delete)
Copy the full address copied from photobucket
Finally click OK and the image will be inserted into your post. this can be done with any number of images in any post.

If you click on the bottom box you can paste directly into post without using instant mark up box, thus saving about 4 mouse clicks (I'm getting old so I try and avoid unecessary physical activity)
One of the reported problems of Photobucket is that it takes a long time to upload, this is usually due to high quality images being resized and degraded by PB.
If you do this before uploading (using "Pix resizer") as detailed in Dogwatch's excellent guide then upload times per image are reduced to about 4 secs.
