Pushpit stainless tube wall thickness

Hi, I want to extend the pulpit side rail to the first stanchions to support side mounted solar panels. Actually I already have , but with fairly manky galvanised tube that's a bit bendy for the job.

I need 316 stainless tubing with a 30mm outer diameter. But what should the wall thickness be?
And can anyone recommend a good source to purchase ss tubing.

I'd use 1.5 mm.

Yes, I agree 1.5 mm. Even for 25 mm OD the 1.0 mm wall thickness tubing is a little light

I could not see 30mm diameter as an option.
Do you think 1.5mm wall thickness and 25mm diameter will be reasonably rigid?

Ours is 24mm x 1.5mm and is plenty strong enough.

30mm (maybe 31.8mm) is a very common size.

I went for 31.8mm diameter tube but my stanchions/pullpit are 900mm high (as opposed to more common 600mm)
