Does anyone know where I can buy those push-push type cabinet catches that seem to be on every major boat these days?

I've asked at two chandlers (and searched the net) to no avail so far.

Hunter Boats (the real one that now belongs to Cornish Crabbers) and Bavaria both fit them. Hunters in satin finish solid metal and Bavaria in chrome on plastic. The Hunter ones always seemed to operate more sweetly than they do on our current boat a Bavaria which have a habit of sticking in. However if you've got the "knack as you need" they flick open on the second try normally but I have been known to curse them!

Ask Hunter Boats where they get them from.

Do you mean the circular catches which you push to set flush and push again to open?
Those ones are marketed by Vetus in a gold and chrome colour.
They are good catches although I found that a wooden backing plate was required to fit them on thin doors.

You can get Vetus bits direct or from ASAP.

Re: Timage

Try them if you must, they do supply these catches. But I have found them to be the most disinterested & unhelpful of any marine company, even when dealing with their own trade customers.

lots of caravan shops stock them. if you haven't tried them (the shops that is) it's an education - lots of boat-related stuff well below swindlery prices.

Thanks for all the advice. I haven't found exactly what I wanted yet but I have found lots of things I didn't know I needed!
