I have just bought one of these pocket 18ft racers.
To be honest it's in bits and was badly damaged when it broke its moorings and ended up on rocks.
Anyway I am fairly proficient with grp and repairs so have no problem with whats required.
My problem is that I can't find any information about these boats.
If anybody knows of a class association or manufacturer where I could get specs I would be very grateful.

try a search on HYC.ie .There is a large fleet which is raced very competively .There should be a lot of info available through the members.

I had one of these a few years ago. They were built in Portaferry or Ballygowan here in NI. Originally they were aimed at Holywood Yacht Club where the moorings in Belfast Lough are very shallow. There seems only to be one or two left in Holywood now but there are two or three around Strangford Lough clubs.
A very lively and "tippy" wee boat with a vertical lift keel. Seem to be well built. The only problem I had was in sourcing a new cable for the keel winch. It was imperial not metric and I had great difficulty in sourcing a length of imp. wire for the gripper type winch which wouldn't grip the metric wire.
If you PM me I could maybe put you in touch with a lad who worked on the building.
