Pump wiring problem

Nope as then we manage to end up with a blocked loo. So I had to divert my attention to that. Now I am just drinking beer as I have had enough of boats today.
That works too in the Med .Make sure you have a large dose of Rose as well .
After the good nights sleep you will spring up at the crack of dawn with the solution .
Something simple a refreshed pair of eyes will see .
You need the booze now because a busy brain worrying will keep will you awake . :)

Okay an update - found that the +ve wire from the switch had corroded through at a single point. The rubber/plastic casing had a small nick and moister must of entered here and over time corroded the wire.

Of course it all now works, but when I was reconnecting the wires I shorted it out, blew the fuse and being France the chandlers is closed for the rest of the day. Will head up to the town later to find one.

Good result and fits with the 99.9% rule that most electrical problems on boats are associated with a poor connection somewhere - its just about finding out where.

Interesting that you were seeing a full 12v through a tiny contact at the failure point, which effectively went open circuit when current tried to flow. I never trust just the voltage without current flow.
