pubs on IOW

Was on the IOW on Thursday and they have done up the wheatcheif pub,[think that what its called, All day food one] thats the one along the ally on the right, gone the old world wood look and now it is like a modern airy light wood, pool table trendy pub, but the food was excellent.

Rumour has it that it has been taken over by the Cowes mafia - linked to The Globe, The Anchor and bar licence at Cowes Yacht Haven.

felt funny walking in to the trend bar in water proofs but staff were friendly, and as I said the food was good.
