Dinghy and bicycle. Row bike across to Warsash. Leave dinghy on HM pontoon. Cycle through Hook Park, Meon, Lee, Gosport.

This. Most local trips around the Solent are faster and easier by water.

Cowes to Gosport for business? Happened to me. Didn't really want to sail, because it was about 2 degrees out that day, but I did it, because it saved about 3 hours.
