Public Space Protection Order (PSPO) Consultation- Illegal mooring

Clearing the decks First the Homeless then River dwellers ?

Possibly personal grump but........Strange priorities ?
....would be nice to see something regarding litter from takeaways of every description especially large chains, this of course includes plastic bottles and as for people who drop fag butts ......flogging is to good for them.

Are Windsor and Reading run by the same council perchance.

I'm minded to agree with you. Reading and Windsor are very separate, we have our own compassion-less council leaders here in the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead but they are focusing on persecuting the homeless on the streets rather than those afloat. I wonder if there is too much emphasis on the relatively small issue of so-called illegal mooring, after all, there are only a few encampments along the whole river such as at Sunbury, Kingston, Oxford and as B1 said recently, mooring is only unlawful if the land owner objects and then it's a civil matter.

The local authorities merely engage in a displacement exercise and dump the perceived problem on other authorities or land owners rather than tackling the matter. It's high time the EA, local authorities and charities worked together to resolve the live-aboard mooring issue.

Its bad enough round here in the Demoronic Reactionary Peoples Republic of Medway to any suggestion of new houses, first reaction is usually apoplexy followed by a petition. :)
Every last petition signitory will of course have a Yale key on their own keyring of course.
Lord knows how the good burgers of the Royal Borough of Reading react to providing the lower orders with a home.
Lots of space in Windsor just ripe for development with only an absentee owner ?
Have very nice view of a castle from my boat .
