PSS Shaft seal Leaking with engine out of boat

Hi there, Firstly thanks for all the advice about removing the engine with or without the Boom , the engine is now out saftely, but what I did not consider was the PSS shaft seal leaking like a Sieve. Any tips on stopping the dripping while the engine is not there to compress the seal..

Don't know the PSS seal; how about a jubilee clip round the shaft.

How about loosening the inboard collar and moving it back down the shaft to add pressure to the seal.... will however need setting backup again when the engine is back in...

Get a length of wood and a wedge to compress the seal. Did it years ago on a new boat with a section of the shaft missing.
