Our 1984 Dehler 372 has a Prowell feathering 3 blade prop made in Germany. Prowell don't seem to exist anymore. Does anyone know of a European source for the zinc on the boss and other spares? The zincs seem to be sold in the US as Prowell Ger-1? Thanks for any advice.

Many thanks for the US links. I was hoping someone might have a European source - obviously easier and cheaper - but it looks like the US is the place?

Prowell is early type of the Variaprop made by SPW in Germany.Call Paul at First Marine Propulsion in Southampton,Tel 02380 225944 good guy.He repaired my old Prowell And later supplied later Varioprop at a very good price.I may have a spare one from my old 3 blader 18in pm me.

I have just bought contest i guess with same prop it is still lying in Holland. Did you locate an anode yet, if not this German company can supply at great expense info@spw-gmbh.de. I have bought one and I now trying to cast my own. Do you have any pics of the prop with anode off.

My previous boat had a maxprop and I used to get my anodes from Latham a great service. The boat was steel so had a further 6 anodes so i have cast a lot over the years the prop one is a new challenge. I have cast 2 so far will try to take out the centres for prop nut and the 3 fixing hole this week sometime.
