I have a bicolour and a decklight mounted half way up the mast. In this position they are vulnerable to the frapping of the spinnaker halyard and up-haul. I seem to recall seeing on some boat a sort of protective bit of kit that looked like an upside-down granny bar. Has anyone had any experience of these and might know where I can source it?

surely a stainless thin rod bent around as a "bull-bar" and fitted is enough ??
