Protecting Teak Gratings

Leave it - as I have done with my teak gratings.

Sand it down to clean bare wood and leave it as it is. A bucket of sea (salt) water over it is the best wood preserver there is. The clean wood look will go off over the summer and turn it a grey colour. Next winter give it another sanding down.

Try not to put any "finish" on it as over the season it will look worse than the bare wood will - and it will be slippery.
